Spring is in the air at the AACA Museum – New exhibits opening for spring 2024

As the days become longer and the buds start to flower, so does the yearning to hit the road and celebrate all things automotive.

The AACA Museum understands that spring is a time of awakening that passion and is offering up four new exhibits.

Professional Vehicles: 100 Years of Service

For 100 years, specialized cars and trucks have been vital in protecting citizens, delivering on promises, chauffeuring VIPs, and even leading the way to final destinations.

The exhibit features an array of vehicles in four settings. The “riding-in-style” display includes famed businessman and former U.S. Vice President Nelson Rockefeller’s 1960 Imperial limousine and Whitney Houston’s personal Rolls Royce limo. The “protect-and-serve” display highlights several decades of emergency vehicles, and “moving en masse” highlights reliable people-moving buses. Finally, the “legacy and honor” display includes vintage funeral vehicles that conveyed loved ones to their final destinations.

May 18, 2024—Oct 20, 2024

Husqvarna (Husky) Motorcycles has established itself among the most recognizable brands in the world of motorized vehicles. Husqvarna, a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, has been involved in several industries over the years. It began with sewing machines and kitchen appliances in 1872 and introduced bicycles into its product line in 1896. Its first motorized bike debuted in 1903, and the legend of Husqvarna Motorcycles began.

The brand grew over the next 100 years, offering products including mopeds and scooters. Huskys racked up multiple victories and awards at various races. In 2013, Husqvarna Motorcycles was acquired by the KTM AG Group (Mattighofen, Austria). Today, Husqvarna is a prominent name in off-road motorcycles.

Three motorcycles on display beginning March 15th are a 1982 CR250, a 1985 CR250GP, and a 2003 SMR 630 Anniversary Racing Machine (# 1 of 100).
